It’s dreary, dull, and downright depressing outside. Which is why I’m writing this blog to splash a little bit of happy colour in to your days and lives. Fancy Dress costumes make people happy, it’s what they are for, and you can make people happy by dressing up. Tell me a time you have ever been unhappy in a dressing up costume. You can’t. It’s impossible to be anything other than terribly happy when you look like a cartoon character or a superhero. Scientific fact (Maybe not, but still.)
And so, without any I introduce you all to the wonderful post of Fancy Dress costumes beginning with the letter D.
Beginning with a costume that would make my brother proud of me, Darth Vader. The most dastardly, dangerous, devilish bad guy this side of the Sith. Always a firm favourite for the geeks in us all, here at The Shack we have Darth for boys and blokes; just because you’re getting older doesn’t mean you have to grow up. So, make the man in your life happy regardless of his age, and turn him in to one of the most famous villains of all time. Luke, I am your best-priced costume…
Not a Star Wars fan? Not a problem! There are plenty of costumes in this world, in our Shack, that begin with the letter D. That is what this whole post is about, after all. For the ladies, and the lads up for a laugh, we have Darling Dorothy, the ‘dorable down-South girl with a dog (I am kicking butt with this “D” thing!) Take the yellow brick road in this dress and look like the dog’s dinner; You can’t tell me this isn’t the best naughty-but-nice Dorothy get up you’ve ever laid your eyes upon. Because it just is. So release your inner naughty but nice, with this dress. Don’t forget a pair of ruby red slippers, else you’ll never find your way home after that fifth Jagerbomb.
If you’re the curious kind who can’t leave clues behind, then the Detectives outfit is the one for you. Surprisingly sexy for a slip of tweed, this gorgeous get up will have every person whipping out their curiosity and checking you out. Be prepared for cheesy chat up lines, but remember you’re the great detective, so you will have no problem weeding out the truthful members from the dreadful liars! But be cautious, too much delving can cause others to experience jealousy, and bad feelings; the life of a detective is a perilously dangerous and truly exciting one. Okay, and finally… I’m cheating a bit here, but it’s totally okay. We have the Disney Beast from Beauty and the Beast. What? Disney starts with a D, it so counts as a costume that begins with the letter D. I can’t resist this guys haggard yet adorable face, so he had to feature in this blog. He looks like a dog, that’s a D, too. See, he so belongs with Dorothy and Darth. Capture your own Belle’s heart, be our guest, drink from tea-cups that used to be people, and converse with a clock that has attitude. Whatever you do, do it in this costume, and look your absolute best, coss this costume is amazing.
